Montreal, July 6, 2026 — NordikServer is announcing a major FriendPay update — our system that lets a customer pay an invoice or service on someone else's behalf — a friend, teammate, or community member — in just a few clicks.
This release marks an important milestone: FriendPay is becoming more flexible, more private, and more secure than ever.
Two ways to pay
FriendPay will support two payment gateways:
- PayPal — ideal if you prefer paying with your PayPal balance or linked account
- Stripe — pay by credit card directly on the page, no PayPal account required
Payers choose whichever method works best at checkout.
You control what the recipient sees
One of the most requested features: control over the identity shown to the person receiving the funds.
- Private mode — hide your real identity; the recipient won't see your personal details
- Nickname mode — display a custom nickname instead of your full name (e.g. “TeamAlpha”, “A friend”)
These preferences can be managed from your client area under Account Details → FriendPay.
Enhanced security
This update also includes security improvements: stronger validations, a more robust payment flow, and better protections for both payers and recipients.
Availability
FriendPay 2.0 is rolling out soon. NordikServer will publish a detailed overview shortly: step-by-step walkthrough, real-world use cases, and a complete guide for payers and recipients.
