What’s in 1.0
This is more than leaving Early Access. 1.0 adds the final stretch of the Viking journey, including:
- New biome: Deep North
- 40+ weapons, 4 armor sets, capes, tools, and trinkets
- 10+ creatures, 80+ build pieces, and 20+ food items
- New locations, music, events, and mechanics
- Available on PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with crossplay
What this means for your server
If you already host Valheim with us, a server restart or update is usually enough to move to 1.0. Before you head north:
- Back up your world from the Pterodactyl panel.
- Update the server to version 1.0.
- Restart, then test the connection with your community.
- If you use mods, confirm they are compatible before a wipe or a Deep North expedition.
Existing worlds stay playable. The Deep North is added to the map — you do not have to start over unless you want a fresh run.

About Valheim 1.0
Valheim 1.0 is the official release of Iron Gate Studio’s Viking survival game. The Deep North is the final biome: storms, ancient creatures, and a last challenge for clans that have already crossed the Plains and the Ashlands. NordikServer hosts Quebec and Canadian communities who want to play it together on a dedicated server.
